Brian Marshall graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and subsequently received a teaching credential from the University of San Diego (USD). After graduation Mr. Marshall worked for five years as a classroom teacher at Bell Jr. High School in the San Diego Unified School District where he taught all levels of mathematics and served as advisor for the Associated Student Body (ASB).
Mr. Marshall received a Masters of Arts in Educational Administration from San Diego State University (SDSU). In 1993 he served as Vice Principal of Lakeside Middle School and in 1995 was promoted to Principal at Tierra del Sol Middle School, both in the Lakeside Union School District.
His employment with the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District began in 1998 where he served successfully for four years as Principal of La Mesa Middle School and 14 months as Assistant Superintendent, Instruction. Mr. Marshall is currently the District Superintendent and is a candidate for his Doctoral degree at the University of San Diego (USD).
Brian Marshall is happily married to Rosemarie. They have two children, Christina and Jonathan.
