LMSVSD posts 5 years of growth |
With the release of the STAR test data for the Spring of 2009 comes great news!
Academic Performance Index (API) scores for our district and schools continue to show growth. In fact, 62% of our schools have an API score greater than the State target of 800. Additionally, our district score is also above the State target of 800 (click here for our API scores).
When we look at our percent of students who score proficient or advanced we see great news too. Over the last five years (2005–2009) we see growth with every group of students (click here for data table).
Closer examination of the data reveals that while all groups are showing growth the subgroups associated with the achievement gap show greater growth. In La Mesa-Spring Valley we have started to close the achievement gap over the last 5 years! |
