Peace Builder Program

We begin every morning with Peace Circle where we recite our Peace Builder Pledge and praise students who have demonstrated Peace Builder behavior the previous day. Students learn the Peace Builder Pledge in Kindergarten and use it throughout their time here at Maryland Avenue.

      To give up put downs
      To seek wise people
      To notice and speak up about hurts I have caused

I will build peace at home, at school, and in my community each day.
