ACCELERATED READER PROGRAM
 
Thanks to the generosity of our PTA, since January 2012 our library offers the web-based version of the Accelerated Reader Program.
 

How Does it Work?
  • A student selects an Accelerated Reader (AR) title from the school library, home, or the public library.
  • To check whether it is an AR title, go to  AR Bookfind
  • The student READS the book, then takes a computerized quiz of 5 to 20 questions, either in their classroom or in the library. 
  • Each book has a specific point value according to its reading level.  The reading level is determined by ATOS readability  formula by Renaissance Learning Company, the developer of Accelerated Reader.  (www.renlearn.com)
AR is offered to 2nd through 6th grade students.
